About this speaker
Married therapists Sharon Rinearson and James Annear are known for their down to earth, practical information and tools. They have a total of 35+ years as mental health clinicians and have spent the past 11 years specializing in the sex addiction/ partner and coupleship reconciliation. Sharon, a former child and family trauma specialist, uses her experience and wisdom working within family systems while using art, sandtray and other experiential therapies to enhance her speciality in this field. James' experience in the addiction field comes from successfully directing many drug and alcohol residential programs and using experiential therapies while doing so. Sharon and James find themselves most days doing intensives to help men stop their addictive and emotionally damaging behaviors, to help women heal from betrayal trauma and to help couples navigate reconciliation during the post traumatic phase of healing. We use the aforementioned experiential therapies in conjunction with extensive pre-intensive testing and analysis, developmental/relational histories, storytelling and various cognitive and interactional therapies in 2:1 or 3:2 numbers. We rarely do group intensives, so we will be custom creating the best treatment for you and yours. Sharon and James have CORE centers in Florida and Tennessee (depending on time of year). Both served on the APSATS board of directors for a number of years.
